SaSebastian is located in Selma, TX. He was recently surrendered to TXOESR by his owner due to health issues and having a new infant. She is unable to care for both Sebastian and his litter mate. Sebastian is male - 4 years old (March 30th) and a whopping 100 lbs. He is neutered, current on shots (June 2025), heartworm negative and microchipped. He and his brother’s size make it difficult to handle both. Sebastian is the more stubborn and defiant of the two. He also tends to jump up on people for attention. Sebastian gets overly excited around his sibling brother so it will be best to separate the two pups. He will definitely need a strong handler to lead and develop good behaviors and habits – as well as burn off some of that excess energy!
The owner is planning to get Sebastian groomed in the very near future. She will then provide better pictures for TXOESR. Sebastian is good with children, cats and other dogs. He is housebroken. Needs work on commands. He needs work with a leash. Sebastian is crate trained.
Sebastian sounds like a wonderful dog who needs some love, attention and direction from a good leader. He has been regularly seen by the vet since 2021 and has no real health concerns.

Say “Hello” to Max!
Max joined the TXOESR rescue ranks on February 28, 2025. He was a stray found on the streets in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. The folks who found him searched via Nextdoor and other means to no avail. They could no longer keep him. TXOESR stepped up – identified he had a chip. Contact was made with the chip register. They had supposedly no idea about this dog. So Max is looking for a new, forever home.
Max is an unaltered male (TXOESR will have him neutered soon). He is a year and 4 months. He appears happy and healthy. TXOESR will be making a vet appointment soon to get a full checkup, current on vaccines, neutered and microchipped (if we cannot re-register his current chip).
Max is really a loving and playful dog. Loves people. Seems wonderful with other kids and dogs. TXOESR has not seen him around cats. Housebroken, seems ok on leash, unsure about him being crate trained and obedience / commands. More to come as we foster him in the Arlington, TX area.
TXOESR has a foster in place for the next 30 days, but we may need a foster for him in April 2025.
As mentioned earlier, our plans are to get him to a local vet for a complete workup within the next two weeks. It will give him plenty of time to heal for adoption by mid to late March.

Pelusa is an owner surrender and is currently being fostered in the home with her owners. She is 4 years old. Her owners love Pelusa and Ash, but are a little over their head with 4 sheepdogs who are siblings. Keeping a sibling litter can cause a lot of challenges and she fights with her sister Ash. She gets along well with her brothers. Pelusa can be a nervous girl around people at first but warms up quickly. She is dog selective and we would recommend an only dog home or an experienced owner who has worked with dogs with suspected littermate syndrome. We are seeking a foster so we can adequately assess her temperament away from her siblings.

Norman was picked up as a stray in Parker county and taken to the Weatherford shelter. As soon as he showed up we knew we had to help him. Norman settled in nicely to his foster home. He enjoys the company of his OES foster brother. He is quite the snuggle bug and his foster mom has fallen for him. Norman is between 1-2 years of age. He needs to add some weight before he can be neutered but will be available for adoption soon.
Pending Adoption

Gabby is one of 6 Old English Sheepdog females surrendered to TXOESR by a backyard breeder in east Texas who was using them to breed sheepadoodles. Gabby is a loving, calm, sweet and cuddly girl. Some of her favorite hobbies include car rides, walks, getting brushed, and trying to hold hands with humans (she would probably hold hands all day if she could.) Gabby would do best in a home where someone is home most of the day as she craves human interaction and has separation anxiety. She has a prey drive so not birds or cats.

Hazel is brand new to the rescue and is being fostered in Mckinney, TX. She gets along well with her foster sisters who are both TXOESR alum. Hazel came into the rescue due to no fault of her own. Her previous owners no longer had time for her due to their family commitments. She loves other dogs and people. She has not been tested with young children, but she loves the teenagers in her home and has bonded quickly. She would make a great companion for any home who can shower her with attention.

Female, Old English Sheepdog/Toy Poodle Mix (?), Young adult
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Roxy is about two years old, and we believe she is a sheepdog mix. Roxy is on the smaller side and weighs about 30 pounds. She could gain a little bit, but she is healthy as is according to our vet. If you like cats, she would be the perfect dog for you. Roxy has the most striking blue eyes and has settled in well with her foster mom’s pack. She tends to follow her foster sister (Mini Aussie) around, and she takes her lead. If you like cats, she would be the perfect dog for you. Like many dogs who come from hoarding situations, she is unfamiliar with human touch and takes a while to learn trust. However, when that trust is earned, she will follow you around and be at your side. Roxy needs a special home who understands emotionally scarred animals and has the patience to let her trust on her own. She will do best in a quieter home with one or more dog companions. She has learned trust through observing other dogs.

Archie is a sweet 2-year-old neutered OES male. House trained, crate trained, good on leash, loves riding in cars, playing with balls and enjoying puppuccino! He is a cuddler and has plenty of love to share. He is fully vaccinated & micro-chipped.
He is differently-abled as he is deaf (so, changing his name is a breeze!). He is a little quirky in that he is protective of his people. He is good with dog-friendly cats.
TXOESR is looking for a special, permanent home.
He would be a great companion for an experienced OES single Lady or single Man (or have owned breeds like Bouviers, German Shepherds, Briards, etc…).
No kids, no dogs.
Texas OES Rescue is committed to work with the adopters and trainers to ensure a great forever life for Archie as grows into the perfect family member.
